Polly Mayer was born in 1979 in Azusa, CA in a small birthing office. The family moved from L.A. to Oregon when she was nine months old. Polly attended "Teacher Sherry's Preschool" at age four, then moved on to Mt. Pleasant Elementary for kindergarten through grade six. She graduated from Oregon City High School with honors. Attending Brigham Young University on scholarships, she graduated in April 2000 with a teaching degree. Polly had an early interest in music and learned to play the flute in sixth grade, switching to baritone in seventh. She is presently an accomplished pianist, seamstress, and cook. She enjoys needlecrafts, hiking, reading and cooking. There isn't very much that she cannot do when she decides to, in fact. She is a beautiful, sweet and energetic girl with a knack for putting others at ease. Polly is married to a returned missionary, Eric Carlson from the state of Washington. They were married in the Portland, OR Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in April of 1999. Eric is continuing his education in chemistry from BYU by attending Berkley this year. They currently are living in California where Polly has quit teaching to be a full time mother to their new little girl, Katie Elizabeth, born 16 January 2005.
